Every day, our Hemodialysis Technicians deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the Hemodialysis department.

Positions details:

  • Location: Winter Haven Hospital – Winter Haven, Florida
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or higher
  • Hemodialysis Technician Program with didactic training and 250-hour externship clinical experience
  • 6-months experience in Acute Care or Outpatient Hemodialysis department
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Preferred Certification: Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)

 

The Hemodialysis Technician responsibilities and skills:

  • Function as part of the hemodialysis team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patient.
  • Provide patient care under the direct visual supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Set up and primes equipment (as directed by the supervising nurse) for renal replacement therapies.
  • Initiate renal replacement according to prescribed physician orders.
