Sous Chef at the stunning Omeon Mykonos.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high culinary standards are maintained, and fostering a creative environment for staff. Your role will include overseeing food preparation, cooking processes, and presentation while maintaining a focus on exceptional quality and consistency across all dishes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing kitchen staff, and training them in culinary techniques and presentation standards.
  • Assisting in menu development and planning, with an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure the best use of resources.
  • Managing food costs and assisting with budgeting to maintain profitability.
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse team.
