Job Description
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the biomedical department, including oversight of staff and workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. Completes all required competencies within the designated introductory period and performs additional related duties as assigned. Reports to the Market BioMed Director.
- Sets strategic goals and objectives aligned with Carondelet Health Network priorities
- Develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets
- Oversees daily department operations and staff performance
- Makes informed, objective decisions supported by data and facts
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Promotes integrated, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
- Communicates effectively across all levels and with internal/external stakeholders
- Leads people management efforts including hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff development
- Maintains safe operations, oversees equipment maintenance, and ensures patient safety standards
- Optimizes resources, manages workflows, supports continuous improvement, and responds proactively to change and risks
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Biomed or a related field, or equivalent military training/certification.
- Experience: 7 years of progressive experience in Biomedical Department.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Business
- Experience: Supervisory experience
