Hours will be 6:00 pm to 3:00 am
As a Dock Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our daily operations by efficiently loading, unloading and organizing freight. At RXO, we’re looking for reliable, hardworking Dock Workers who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a strong eye for detail. You’ll be part of a supportive team and have the opportunity to grow your career in logistics.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Load and unload freight from trailers using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
- Sort and organize freight in the dock area according to destination or shipment priority
- Inspect freight for damage, verify labeling and documentation and report any discrepancies
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized and safe dock environment
- Ensure proper handling and securement of freight to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate with dispatchers, drivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of shipments
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures during operations
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- The ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
It’d be great if you also have:
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
- 1-2 years of dock or warehouse experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus)
