Position Overview
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of supply chain planning, flow, and daily operational performance for the Automated Mailing & Bagging (AM&B) business unit at Pregis. This role translates demand signals into actionable production, material, and fulfillment plans, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, plant execution, and customer commitments.
This leader owns both plant-level planning (Master Operations Scheduling) and daily execution discipline, driving performance through KPI management, proactive issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination. The role is accountable for ensuring reliable flow of materials, labor, and production capacity to meet customer expectations for on-time, in-full delivery within market competitive lead times.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning & Execution Ownership
Own, maintain, and execute the Master Operations Schedule based on demand plans and forecasts
Translate demand into feasible production, inventory, and fulfillment plans across poly operations
Ensure alignment between planning and plant execution, driving adherence to schedules and priorities
SIOP & Demand Integration
Lead and execute the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process for AM&B Poly Operations
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Product Management to validate, refine, and align demand plans
Ensure demand signals are accurately captured, validated, and maintained within SAP
Daily Performance & Flow Management
Drive daily performance through KPI-based management of supply chain and production flow
Monitor and actively manage:
On-Time In-Full Delivery (OTIF)
Lead Times
Production Output vs. Plan
Inventory Levels
Identify gaps to plan, implement countermeasures, and escalate risks impacting customer delivery
Capacity & Production Alignment
Lead capacity planning and facilitate weekly capacity alignment with Operations
Evaluate constraints across labor, materials, and equipment to optimize throughput
Ensure production stability and synchronization across key operational processes (converting, press, extrusion)
Team Leadership & Accountability
Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners responsible for order fulfillment and production planning
Instill a high-accountability, execution-focused culture centered on data, discipline, and results
Drive standard work for planning processes and performance tracking
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Operations Director, Plant Manager, Production Managers & Supervisors, and Schedulers to ensure plan adherence and execution discipline
Serve as the central point of coordination across Sales, Operations, and Finance for supply chain performance
Communicate performance, risks, and recovery plans clearly to leadership
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing supply chain, planning, or operations
Proven experience in execution-focused supply chain roles, driving daily performance and operational results
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP required)
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence plant operations
Preferred Skills
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
Experience in Make-to-Order manufacturing environments
Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred) with demonstrated application in flow optimization and waste reduction
Experience driving KPI-based performance management systems
