The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Level L) to join the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) Labs Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Oklahoma City, OK!
In this role you will have a strong partnership and teaming with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) counterparts as well as the United States Air Force (USAF) customer. Collaboration with functional leads in leading the integrated execution of the Software Development Lab and Propulsion Integration Facility. Our team is looking for a leader skilled with program management discipline, easily able to navigate a fast-paced program, strong communication skills, and brings a great attitude that can successfully lead a complex portfolio while partnering with our counterparts in leading Boeing successfully on this program.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing engineering, technical, scheduling and control account management activities in the area of Project Management
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Strong Earned Value Management (EVM) background and demonstrated experience using EVM to manage technical, cost and schedule performance
- Coordinates the scheduling and utilization of the Lab assets ensuring downstream users are able to perform detailed test plans.
- Oversees the operation of the Lab to include resolution of problem reports and all configuration changes to the baseline product.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners
- 5+ years’ experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks
- 5+ years of experience employing Earned Value Management techniques either as a project manager, control account manager, or control account manager assistant
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience supporting military programs
- Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices
- Background in Lab Design, Development, and Utilization functions
- Previous experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Knowledge of Development and Execution phases of Project Management.
- Must have demonstrated work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments
- Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated
- Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for $136,000 - $184,000
