Updates the surgery and procedural area cases in the Surgery Scheduling Office.Job Description:
Education: Required: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program Licensure/Certification: Preferred: ST certification or other procedural/ Operating Room related certification ie, Anesthesia Tech certification Experience: Required: N/A Preferred: Experience as a Surg Tech or equivalent, surgical or procedural area with familiarity of surgical/procedural supplies and processesReports To: Supervisor Surgery Scheduling Office, Director, Inpatient Surgery Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: N/A Blood Borne Pathogens: Minimal/ No PotentialSkills, Knowledge, Abilities:

1.Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. 2.Updates all types of cases from all departments; Reviews paper charge sheet from procedure, adds/deletes supplies used in HSM documentation system as necessary per procedure, and completes work with minimal errors. 3.Audits patient charts for completeness/accuracy, before case update can be completed. 4.Refers all issues/problems to Supervisor of Scheduling in a timely manner. 5.Updates a minimum of 30 cases per day. 6.Completes departmental end of month deadlines and responsibilities. 7.Makes recommendations for changes to preference cards based upon observations of items consistently used or removed on various cases. 8.Acts as a resource to others performing data entry to choose the correct item for inputs/charging. 9.Performs other duties as assigned.
