- Take ownership of local accounting and finance activities across Southeast Asia, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, local authorities, and external advisors for assigned entities within Southeast Asia
- Play a critical role in maintaining compliance with local regulations and strengthening internal control frameworks.
Make a difference as Finance Specialist
- Execute and oversee local accounting and finance activities, including tax, payroll, insurance, compliance, and subsidy management
- Work closely with the Record-to-Report Specialist to ensure smooth delivery of financial processes and accurate statutory entries
- Take ownership of statutory accounting for several entities, including preparation of financial statements in line with statutory standards
- Manage VAT reporting, support corporate income tax processes, and ensure timely submission of local tax returns
- Review and coordinate intercompany balances and frameworks, ensuring that intercompany setups and transfer pricing topics are compliant with group policies and local statutory requirements
- Support and review inventory-related accounting topics, ensuring accurate valuation, reconciliation, and alignment with financial reporting requirements
- Act as a key contact for local authorities, tax authorities, auditors, banks, and legal advisors, etc. representing Enza Zaden externally
- Prepare legal documentation required for statutory compliance (e.g. financial statements, shareholder documentation) and coordinate with auditors
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset creation, movements, and reconciliation for statutory reporting
- Monitor changes in local regulations, assess impact, and implement required changes within finance processes
- Ensure a strong control environment by:
- Maintaining and improving local administrative systems and procedures
- Implementing, updating, and maintaining internal control frameworks
- Identifying process improvements and resolving bottlenecks
- Coordinating internal and external audits
- Reviewing local contracts and aligning with legal advisors
You report to the Regional Finance Manager (Asia) and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Record-to-Report Specialists, Global Finance Control, Legal, HR, and process teams. You act as a key finance contact towards internal and external stakeholders including tax authorities, government institutions, auditors, and advisors.
What you bring as a future colleague
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting, and local GAAP and compliance requirements
- Solid experience with VAT and a good understanding of corporate income tax in a multi-country environment
- Experience with inventory accounting and stock-related financial processes is an advantage
- Experience with intercompany accounting and exposure to transfer pricing concepts is an advantage
- Experience managing or coordinating audits and dealing with external authorities
- Familiarity with end-to-end finance processes (e.g. Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay)
- Ability to independently manage local finance activities and stakeholder relationships
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. D365) and strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured way of working
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders across functions and countries
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
