QA Engineer 1 is primarily responsible in the effective execution of qualification, test methodology and metrology and failure analysis to ensure that parts conform and are comparable to OEM and product warranty. He / She ensures that the capability of failure analysis and reliability remains effective and cost-efficient for new parts ,product and process qualification , sustenance and development.
Essential Job Skills/Duties
• Defines qualification and reliability testing methods per requirements
• Maintains work instructions and job aids for compliant execution
• Manages qualification/reliability systems and documentation (incl. deviations)
• Conducts material analysis and product characterization for global support
• Reviews failure analysis (FA) reports and provides advanced insights/solutions
• Evaluates reports and drives continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitors lab inventory of parts, materials, and products
• Supports qualification and reliability engineering team activities
• Leads continuous improvement projects on test methodologies
• Collaborates cross-functionally to enhance quality and processes

Required Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSECE, BSEE, BSME, BSMetE, BSMatE preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in consumer electronics manufacturing set-up or Completed the Asurion Cadetship or equivalent program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory and reliability testing
• Preferably with 2 years experience in failure analysis and metrology such as but not limited to SEM-EDS, 3D X-ray Imaging, CMM, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• May mentor junior team members.
• No direct hiring or performance authority.
