Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will empower the teams by implementing and maintaining a robust, scalable infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production and development environments, enabling smooth deployments and efficient workflows and ensure global connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a global infrastructure.
- Monitor performance and optimize resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to ensure high availability and stability.
- Design, build, and optimize automation tools that allow automated infrastructure deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure their needs on connectivity and addresses any pain points.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on utilizing infrastructure and connectivity components effectively.
- Develop self-service tools and documentation to enable developers to manage their own deployments and environments.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the development and operations teams.
- Participate in incident response and resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.
- Continuously analyze and improve the performance, reliability, and security of production environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Outstanding English communication, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Strong infrastructure expertise: Deep understanding of networking, architecture, Linux, automation and security. Hands-on experience with deploying and managing infrastructure on larger scale.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform or Ansible for managing infrastructure.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Scripting and automation skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and tool integration.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaboration and communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Firewall infrastructure knowledge: Experience with firewalls like FortiGate.
- Monitoring and observability: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Cribl, and Splunk for monitoring and analyzing application and infrastructure performance.
- Security best practices: Understanding of security principles and best practices for securing containerized environments.
- CI/CD proficiency: Proven experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or similar tools. Familiarity with various build, test, and deployment automation techniques.
