About Technology Solutions

Our company’s Animal Health Technology Solutions offers global animal identification and monitoring solutions for companion animals and livestock. These solutions enable pet owners to better manage the health and well-being of their pets and enable livestock producers to improve well-being and animal production. Technology Solutions include Core Technologies in Livestock Identification, Dairy, Beef and Swine monitoring, for which the product/market fit is established, as well as products in discovery.


About the role

As an Algorithm Developer you will design and optimize signal processing and machine learning solutions for animal monitoring systems spanning edge devices and cloud/on-prem platforms. In this role, you will focus on developing high-performance models using existing datasets and work closely with other engineering teams to ensure successful integration into production systems.


Responsibilities

  • Translate real-world sensing challenges into robust algorithmic solutions
  • Develop and optimize signal processing and embedded ML algorithms for constrained edge environments
  • Analyze datasets, evaluate model performance, and iterate to improve accuracy and robustness
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to integrate algorithms into production systems
  • Establish best practices for experimentation, validation, and reproducibility
  • Write efficient, maintainable production-quality code
  • Document algorithms, and experimental results

 

Requirements

  • BSc in a relevant STEM field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in algorithm development (signal processing and/or embedded ML)
  • Strong practical experience with machine learning and signal processing
  • Experience training, evaluating, and tuning models using real-world datasets
  • Experience optimizing models under resource constraints (CPU, memory, power)
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in noisy, real-world conditions
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python, and C/C++
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (GIT, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD)
  • High level of ownership, curiosity, and a hands-on approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and ability to drive solutions end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

 

Advantage:

  • MSc and/or more years of experience in algorithm development
  • Experience with IoT or sensor-based systems
  • Familiarity with embedded ML / TinyML / model quantization
  • Exposure to A/B testing or field validation frameworks
  • Background in animal health / agriculture domains
  • Mentoring or technical leadership experience
