The Opportunity
At GPN, our commercial teams play a key role in helping iconic brands win with customers. As an Analyst, Customer Planning & Strategy, based in Downers Grove, IL, you will support the execution of brand and customer strategies by translating insights into actionable plans and sales tools. This role partners cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance to deliver joint business plans, support commercialization efforts, and enable profitable growth in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Essential Functions
- Translate data into actionable insights that inform brand, category, and customer strategies across the portfolio
- Support the execution of Optimum Nutrition and BSN brand initiatives across the sales organization, bridging brand and sales to translate strategy into customer-ready plans informed by consumer and customer insights
- Develop insights, tools, and materials to support customer presentations and enable sales teams with self-service reporting
- Support the execution of commercialization plans, ensuring effective delivery of product, placement, pricing, and promotion strategies
- Analyze assortment, shelving, display, and promotional performance to identify opportunities by customer and category
- Provide analytical support to help drive achievement of sales and profit targets across assigned customers and brands
- Maintain expertise on customer resets, retail calendars, and key in-store events to inform planning and execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with account teams, RGM, marketing, and finance to align on priorities and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelors/University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- 2-5 year’s sales, brand, or channel/trade marketing, or customer strategic planning experience in North America
- Experience in direct customer sales preferred
- Experience in a larger brand portfolio organization within CPG is preferred
- Solid analytical skills and acute attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and SmartSheet; knowledge of SAP Analytics, NIQ or SAP Trade Promotion Management a plus
- Good cross-functional collaboration skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, complex, matrix and fluid environment
- A very strong bias for action with a coordinated team
- Ability to devise and deliver persuasive presentations, based on data-driven insights and facts, to gain support for business strategies and/or initiatives internally and externally with customer partners
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications, Tableau, database information sources, and web applications
- Positive can-do attitude – collaborative, team-oriented approach – diligent work ethic

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $70,000 – $90,000k with an annual bonus.
