About the Role
The Cell Operator performs investment casting finishing operations including, blending, straightening, hand-finishing, and visual inspection to bring castings to dimensional and cosmetic standards required for customer delivery or downstream processing. This role works within a production cell environment to execute multiple finishing operations and ensure that castings meet all applicable customer and quality requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Manual dexterity for blending, and hand-finishing operations on complex casting geometries.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions for finishing requirements.
Visual acuity for surface finish inspection and visual defect identification.
Ability to operate multiple finishing tools and equipment types.
Attention to detail for dimensional verification and traveler documentation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment: Finishing cell production area; metal dust, abrasive particles, and grinding noise present.
Physical demands: Extended standing; repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions for grinding and finishing; lifting castings up to 35 lbs. Vision – 20/20 or correctable.
PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, safety-toed shoes, and abrasion gloves.
