Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Design and Manufacturing, you are responsible for the creative vision and evolution of the product offering for Simons’ exclusive brands.

At the intersection of design, buying, and manufacturing, you play a key role in the innovation triangle by guiding teams toward distinctive, cohesive, and commercially successful collections.

A visionary and inspiring leader, you create an environment where creativity, rigor, and collaboration continuously elevate design standards and deliver products aligned with customer expectations and business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities


Creative Vision and Design Direction

  • Maintain the clarity and evolution of the exclusive brands’ persona identities to ensure collection consistency
  • Elevate the quality and standards of design while balancing creativity and commercial performance
  • Guide teams in integrating trends and developing distinctive collections

Strategic Alignment and Product Development

  • Collaborate closely with the buying, manufacturing, and marketing teams
  • Lead the development of innovative products, from concept to technical execution
  • Ensure collections are aligned with business objectives and customer expectations
  • Integrate sustainability principles into design practices

Technical Excellence and Product Consistency

  • Oversee technical design teams to ensure product quality, fit, and consistency
  • Optimize product development standards, processes, and tools
  • Ensure a consistent product experience both in-store and online

Market Analysis and Performance

  • Leverage sales data to guide creative decisions
  • Lead trend research and competitive analysis
  • Translate customer and market insights into clear product decisions (assortment, positioning, new products)
  • Represent the creative vision at the strategic leadership level

Leadership and Team Development

  • Inspire, coach, and develop design leaders and their teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence
  • Structure teams to support performance, quality, and innovation
  • Build a strong pipeline of creative talent to support succession planning

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in fashion design, including several years in a leadership role
  • Strategic leadership and strong ability to mobilize multidisciplinary teams
  • Creative vision combined with strong business acumen
  • Expertise in trends, product development, and commercial design
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills
  • Bilingualism in French and English to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Availability to travel internationally
