
Facilities - Mechanic II
Job Description
This position is responsible for performing basic repair and maintenance, as well as construction and life-safety equipment inspection, with repairs as needed. This position also alters and inspects the building and mechanical facilities in order to support their continuous operation
Inspects utilities and equipment to ensure their proper operation and the safety of the property, our guests and team members.
Performs preventative maintenance, such as trouble shooting utilities and equipment, to prevent malfunction to equipment on property.
Repairs building, utilities and equipment promptly to ensure their proper operation according to department standards.
Renovates, constructs or restores property’s exterior and interior when necessary to maintain the structure’s quality, as well as to ensure safety to guests and team members.
Order parts to maintain proper inventory.
Assists in training Facilities Mechanic I’s and newly hired Facilities Mechanic II’s to teach job incumbents proper information to perform job duties.
Assist Facilities Mechanic III with skilled repairs on such utilities and equipment as emergency generators and refrigeration units when assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Competent performance of Facilities Mechanic I’s duties or 1 to 2 years’ experience with mechanical repair
Literate and fluent in English
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Visual and auditory field must include immediate environment.
Physical mobility to move about property quickly.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 90 pounds
Ability to climb ladders or crawl through tight spaces in high or low areas while carrying approximately 30 pounds of tools or equipment.
Agility skills to include occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and turning.
Dexterity skills include constant reaching, handling, working with fingers, and hand coordination.
Ability to tolerate tight spaces in high or low areas
Ability to tolerate dust, chemicals or fumes
Potential exposure to hazardous conditions
Must be able to work in a “smoke-filled" environment and tolerate loud noises and bright lights.
Must be capable of working indoors or outdoors during all seasons, including unusually hot, cold, smoky, and/or dimly lit areas
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
