Job Description
As Divisional Manager for the Self-Service Channel, you will lead the commercial strategy for this channel, driving sell-out growth, increasing market share, and developing high-performing teams.
This role is critical to scaling brand presence, strengthening relationships with key retail partners, and developing teams that deliver measurable impact within the modern trade channel.
This position reports will report to Territory Manager, The position is based in Monterrey, Nuevo León Mexico
The position requires a strong field presence (approximately 60% of the time in the field) to ensure close alignment with market dynamics, customer needs, and team performance.
You will be accountable for increasing PPG's sell-out performance and market share within the self-service channel by working closely with commercial partners and cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales.
You will leverage sales and business tools to maximize productivity and revenue while considering competitive dynamics, customer segmentation, and available service solutions. You will co-develop and execute comprehensive commercial and service plans to drive higher sell-out, reduce participation, and ensure strong in-store execution.
Key Responsibilities
You will design and execute district-level commercial and operational plans aligned with national objectives and tailored to regional needs.
You will conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
You will build integrated commercial strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and key clients.
You will monitor and drive achievement of sales quotas across districts, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
You will deliver sustained growth in sell-out performance and profitability within the self-service channel.
You will manage district-level quotas
You will lead, coach, and supervise regional coordinators and sales teams.
You will manage a team of approximately 250 sales advisors across ~9 states, fostering a and collaborative culture.
You will develop and implement retention strategies to reduce employee turnover.
You will target a reduction of at least 10% in monthly attrition versus previous benchmarks.
You will conduct frequent field visits to ensure effective execution, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new opportunities.
You will ensure proper implementation of commercial, operational, and service initiatives in the field.
You will partner with Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure full alignment of strategies and execution.
You will build strong relationships with key retail chains and stakeholders in the Mexican self-service market.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within the self-service (modern trade) channel.
Strong knowledge of the Mexican market and major retail chains.
Proven experience managing large, distributed teams.
Strong skills in strategic planning and execution
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
Willingness to travel frequently within the region (60% field-based role).
