The company is seeking a competent driver with DOT credentials to make deliveries to businesses.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Job Summary
The company is seeking a competent driver with DOT credentials to make deliveries to businesses.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes—some addresses will be industrial while other will be rural
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, maintain, and operate delivery vehicles and trailers
- Maintain computer report logs of mileage, maintenance, and fuel for company fleet
- Safely and effectively secure the load/ cargo
- Provide customer service/ resolve issues
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Valid driver’s license is required, CDL preferred
- Good driving record is required
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to operate heavy machinery in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Common computer skills are necessary
- Schedule regularly has a start and end time
- Overtime and overnights may be required
