Are you passionate about data, systems, and infrastructure? We’re looking for a motivated Asset Information Technician to support the delivery of high-quality asset data and systems across our transport network in Hawke’s Bay.
In this role you will support the Asset Information Manager to deliver specialised asset management services. You’ll be responsible for managing asset data, ensuring data quality, and assisting with the setup and use of systems and tools used to collect and manage asset information.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting field teams, ensuring they have the right tools, training, and systems to capture accurate and reliable asset data.
Key responsibilities:
Manage asset data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
Maintain and improve data quality in line with Data Quality Plans and industry standards
Provide technical support and training to field staff on data collection tools and systems
Assist in preparing maintenance programmes and provide data to support decision making
Contribute to Asset Management Maturity Assessment (AMMA)

To be successful in this role, you will have experience and knowledge in operational asset management, as well as;
- Exceptional analytical and computer skills
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
- Experience in asset management and/or information management
- Familiarity with RAMM/AWM or other asset management information systems
- An eye for detail and a drive to champion data quality principles
