Job Description
Job Summary
Develops, implements, and enforces safety-related programs and processes meant to prevent injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, and other workplace incidents.
Job Duties
Inspects the workplace and identifies and addresses potential safety hazards
Creates and delivers safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
Investigates incidents or accidents, gathers and analyzes statistics, and makes recommendations for improvements
Act as a liaison between management and employees on safety-related matters
Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
Completes all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adheres to 5S standards (e.g., maintains cleanliness of work station, etc.)
Promote a culture of safety through communication and engagement
Follows all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
0-2 years of experience and typically requires a Bachelor’s degree
High school diploma or equivalent
Handles basic issues and problems and refers complex issues to higher-level staff
Performs work under direct supervision
Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
