Job Description
Customer Service Representative
What You’ll Do:
- Process and distribute in-bound customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide appropriate order confirmations for the customer.
- Respond to inbound customer RFQs and generate the quotes for repeat customers and lower volume requests.
- Understand and adhere to Company polices concerning contract compliance, approval tiers, and Trade compliance.
- Work closely with the GM and Business Development ensuring all necessary documents are obtained from foreign customers and submitted to Trade Compliance for export approval.
- Take a proactive role to monitor and request status from Trade Compliance
- Update relevant files and data tables in real time.
- Generate weekly order and quote reports, and other reports as requested.
- Coordinate with other areas to ensure customer documents are completed and returned, e.g. new supplier questionnaires.
- Interact with Finance concerning new customer creation, credit approval, and invoicing issues.
- When requested, assist Finance AR to obtain payment status from customers and follow-up.
- As necessary, fulfil a backup role in order fulfillment and packaging, and shipping.
- Maintain both paper and electronic complete customer order records and documents.
What You Need:
- Minimum 2-years of customer service and order processing experience in a B2B environment
- Competence in MS Office suite, specifically Excel is required.
- Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner to both external and internal parties is required attribute.
- SAP experience is desired.
- Experience with CRM software is desired.
- Experience with order fulfilment and packaging is a plus.
- Experience with shipping and logistics is a plus.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Work well under pressure.
