Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provides full support for complex network security environments, including contact center and security technologies. Acts as a technically proficient, customer-facing resource within the Customer Success practice, supporting post-sales adoption by guiding customers through platform onboarding, security solution activation, and utilization best practices across relevant technology portfolios.

Demonstrates subject matter expertise in network security disciplines to be able to handle most support questions and all but the most challenging issues in TD SYNNEX's complex global environment, while also serving as a trusted technical guide to customers and supporting business planning and adoption initiatives. Delivers exceptional responsiveness, quality, and reliability while bridging the gap between technology acquisition and effective, secure utilization.

Makes effective use of all resources, including support contracts, to securely and effectively solve problems, and collaborates closely with Customer Success Managers, vendors, and partners. Proactively engages with vendors and partners to explore ways to further optimize TD SYNNEX security services for reliability, performance, and efficiency, while identifying opportunities to refer expanded customer needs to managed services teams when appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides full support for complex network security environments, acts as a customer-facing resource within the Customer Success practice, support organic growth and M&A, and to implement and improve new application services. Solution components may include departmental switches, enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, IP telephony, IVR, Automated CAll Distribution (ACD), SD-WAN appliances, WAN accelerators, Load balancers, and other network technologies. (55%)

  • Provides full operational support for global and regional network services that provide customer access to revenue-generating applications and colleague access to systems used to run the comapny and support customers, with rare assistance from more senior engineers in mission critical and/or extremely complex situations. (20%)

  • Ensures work is well-organized, and provides ongoing task tracking to ensure project deadlines are met (15%)

  • Updates documentation with new findings (10%)

      Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

      • 5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.

      • Master's / Postgraduate Degree with Network Engineering or Related Field of Study preferred.

      • Bachelor's Degree with Network Engineering or Related field of study required.

      • Other Education / Certifications: - Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, CCNP Collaboration w/2+ concentrations, F5 (or other load balancer) Certified Technical Specialist, Knowledge related to state of the art tools and techniques to reduce network latency and optimize network performance

      • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.

      • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.

      • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.

      • Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.

      Working Conditions:

      • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.

      • On-call availability required as necessary.

      • Professional, office environment.

      • Some travel required.
