Job Description

With Redpath expanding operations in the Norseman region, we are on the lookout for Boilermakers to join our Maintenance Department. Our Boilermakers will perform fabrication, welding and structural maintenance on fixed and mobile mining equipment, delivering safe, high-quality work in surface and underground environments. Even time rosters available.
  • Perform all fabrication, welding, and maintenance work in accordance with Redpath Management Systems, statutory regulations, and site requirements, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality;
  • Carry out surface and underground fabrication and welding tasks, including structural maintenance of fixed and mobile mining equipment to a high standard;
  • Complete fabrication and repair work to drawing and specification, and undertake general fabrication tasks as required by the Supervisor;
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop, while completing and filing all required maintenance documentation and worksheets accurately and daily;
  • Conduct required pre-start checks, Take 5s, JSAs, and actively participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ICAM investigations when required;
  • Promptly report hazards, incidents, accidents, or near misses, assist other trades as required, travel to site when needed, and perform any other duties reasonably directed by Redpath.
  • Trade qualified Fabricator/Boilermaker, with demonstrated experience in welding, marking out, angles, and core mechanical principles;
  • Proven ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and complete work accurately to specification;
  • Experience working in heavy industry or mining environments, including surface and underground operations;
  • Holds a valid manual Driver’s Licence and current First Aid & CPR certification;
  • Strong planning, organising, and prioritisation skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands;
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating a safety-focused mindset aligned with Redpath’s “Safety - First, Last and Always” principle.
