About us
• Ensure that all operations have a clear understanding of and comply with the Global Customs Compliance Manual (GCCM) and local laws and regulations, reducing the risk of penalties and fines.
• Enhance operational efficiency by providing guidance and support to all operations in streamlining customs processes in accordance with GCCM and national legal requirements.
• Foster a culture of compliance across the organization, ensuring that all teams are aligned with regulatory obligations and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure understanding and compliance with customs regulations and trade standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including customs authorities and regulatory bodies, to address compliance-related inquiries.
• Provide timely updates and guidance to stakeholders on changes in customs regulations and compliance requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication between operations and stakeholders to enhance compliance awareness and best practices.
• The challenge of adapting to evolving customs regulations and trade compliance requirements specific to Thailand and aligning with internal standards GCCM.
• The inconsistency in understanding and implementing compliance standards among diverse operational teams.
• The risk of discrepancies or misunderstandings in customs processes that may lead to delays or penalties.
• The difficulty in managing relationships with customs authorities and stakeholders effectively, which can increase compliance risks.
• The diversity of operations, where differing levels of understanding and interpretation of compliance requirements can lead to inconsistencies in implementation.
• The challenge of coordinating multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external authorities, each with varying levels of understanding and priorities.
Responsibilities
•100% compliance with GCCM and local laws during internal/ external audits.
•Contractual KPIs (related with Customs)
• Provide regular updates and clear communication to operations teams regarding customs requirements and changes in regulations, ensuring 100% understanding and implementation.
• Achieve 100% compliance in customs audits.
• Prevent compliance discrepancies among operations.
Requirements
Skills
•Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams toward compliance goals, even in a limited team environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
•Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with global stakeholders.
•Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing compliance processes.
•Strong analytical skills to assess compliance issues and develop effective solutions.
•Proficiency in facilitating training sessions and workshops on compliance topics when needed.
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Additional qualifications or certifications in customs management or trade compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Export Specialist) are a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs management or trade compliance.
• Experience working in a logistics or supply chain environment is preferred.
• Proven track record of managing compliance processes and interacting with customs authorities.
• Experience in training and educating staff on compliance-related topics.
