As we continue to grow, our Ophthalmology Department is expanding. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment and enjoys working closely with patients, clients, and a dedicated specialty team. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys hands-on patient care, and takes pride in supporting advanced veterinary medicine.
What You'll Do
- Assist with patient restraint and handling during ophthalmic examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for appointments and procedures
- Obtain patient histories and assist with patient intake
- Support diagnostics and treatments under the direction of the veterinarian and technical staff
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and client communication
- • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
- Support anesthesia and recovery processes as directed
- Help ensure a positive experience for both patients and their families
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 Year of general practice experience or equivalent role
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a highly specialized department
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
