Veterinary Assistant – Ophthalmology Department

What started as a commitment to emergency medicine has grown into a collaborative specialty hospital where doctors, technicians, assistants, and client care teams work together to support patients with complex medical needs.

As we continue to grow, our Ophthalmology Department is expanding. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment and enjoys working closely with patients, clients, and a dedicated specialty team. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys hands-on patient care, and takes pride in supporting advanced veterinary medicine.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with patient restraint and handling during ophthalmic examinations and procedures
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for appointments and procedures
  • Obtain patient histories and assist with patient intake
  • Support diagnostics and treatments under the direction of the veterinarian and technical staff
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and client communication
  • • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department
  • Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Support anesthesia and recovery processes as directed
  • Help ensure a positive experience for both patients and their families

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 Year of general practice experience or equivalent role
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a highly specialized department

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
