Location: Onsite - Brownwood, TX Competitive Compensation: Starting at $22.08 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for night shifts. We are looking to fill a Production Quality Inspector position within incoming inspection. This position will be based at our Brownwood, TX location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality bathroom products, including luxury bathtubs and toilets. Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for distribution and the market. Incoming inspection of purchased component parts. Complete required documentation necessary to maintain databases related to: Vendor performance (SAP QUALITY MODULE) Reject inventory (SAP QUALITY MODULE) Follow up with vendor for RGA, SDMR and corrective actions Supplier and internal issues – defect, quantity and corrective action follow up Calibration . Measure, understand, act on and report quality and operations information (incoming inspection issues and vendor defects found during operations) Take initiative to address all vendor related issues ( purchased parts and gauges) Maintain knowledge of and follow all safety regulations in effect. Plan and maintain calibration schedule (Plastics measuring equipment) and database. Engage in learning activity to upgrade skill sets, both interpersonal and technical. Perform all duties as assigned by supervision. Clean and maintain work areas as required during and at the end of the shift. Perform all duties as assigned by supervision. Obtains unit from final inspection . Removes defective sheets left in uni t . Must have a minimum corrected vision of 20/40 and be able to distinguish between shades of colors due to visual inspection requirements. Must be able to obtain a score of 90 or better to successfully pass a esthetics assessment. Must be able to demonstrate strong technical aptitude commensurate with inspection and testing responsibilities and have strong math skills to be able to read and understand gages and tolerances. Must have arithmetic/math skills including understanding the use of fractions, decimals, and percentages, and understanding of units of measurement, as well as mathematical reasoning, data analysis, and logical thinking and ability to read a tape measure. Must be able to read, understand, and apply information from blueprints. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and kneel repetitively throughout the day in order to thoroughly inspect units and complete job responsibilities. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and familiarity with computers. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Professional, able to interact with production associates and management. Must be able to work any scheduled overtime and any shift.
