As Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Pastry team and wider culinary team in delivering exceptional pastry and bakery creations, ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation. You will assist in the daily operation of your section, contributing to the smooth execution of service and maintaining the precision expected within a luxury kitchen environment. This role is ideal for a passionate and developing pastry professional looking to refine their skills and grow within a world‑class culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts and baked goods in line with recipes and standards
  • Support the Pastry team in managing daily operations of the assigned section
  • Follow production sheets to ensure all items are prepared accurately and on time
  • Ensure consistency, quality and presentation of all pastry items during preparation and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
  • Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in minimising wastage
  • Support the training and development of junior team members where required
  • Communicate effectively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Report equipment issues or maintenance requirements promptly
  • Uphold company policies and luxury service standards at all times

Core Competencies

  • Previous experience in a pastry or kitchen role, ideally within a quality‑focused or luxury environment
  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking and dessert preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards kitchen environment
  • Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for pastry and a desire to build a long‑term culinary career
  • Professional attitude and presentation aligned with luxury standards
