Outbound Warehouse Clerk (Dispatch)

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outbound Warehouse Clerk (Dispatch) is responsible for performing clerical duties within the Outbound Warehouse Department (Night Shift) including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run reports necessary for the night's workload (special instructions, special orders Item, hand stack report).
- Examine all double-check customers and have the loads reserved.
- Check loads that are designated on the special instructions report. (While waiting on pallets, spot check the pallets that are already located on the loading dock)
- Verify that the special-order items are selected and placed on the correct pallet.
- Verify that the weights are correct on the catch weight variation report.
- Check any reshipped orders if necessary.
- Check any new accounts that are being delivered.
- Gather all paperwork during the night and place it in the Manager's mailbox.
- Fill out checker audit spreadsheet to track work for the night.
- Research product that could not be found via short chaser (warehouse out).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Any other relevant duties may be assigned by the Division Head.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills – knowledge of MS Excel and word a must.
- Good written and oral communications skills.
- Results oriented and able to work on own initiative.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work night hours.
- Sitting for long periods of time while performing the duties of this job.
- Regularly required to walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands repetitively to write, type, record, manipulate or operate standard office equipment and reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents.
- Analyze and solve routine and non-routine department problems.
- Use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations.
CORPORATE COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and adheres to Bahamas Food Services compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all Company regulations, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
