- Provides timely pastoral care and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff during crises, emergencies, and routine situations.
- Responds to inpatient referrals within 24 hours and outpatient referrals within 48 hours, including evening and weekend chaplaincy care.
- Participates in mandatory facility-wide and department training/meetings, demonstrating knowledge of fire, safety, security, and disaster procedures.
- Collaborates with community clergy, local congregations, and community events to provide spiritual care and lead educational workshops.
- Engages in leadership spiritual formation and supports campus/entity leadership through spiritual care and mission resources.
- Coordinates appropriate spiritual support for patient care and team support, addressing concerns at times of care transition.
- Manages whole person care concerns for patients and team members, participating in ethics consults and family meetings.
- Contributes to department goals and objectives, fostering staff cohesiveness and communication.
- Adheres to AdventHealth organizational and departmental policies, including mission, vision, values, and code of conduct.
- Participates in hiring assessments for campus leaders and new-employee orientation.
- Provides 24/7/365 in-person care for spiritual wholeness concerns in assigned settings, including acute crises and pre-surgical support.

• Ability to effectively relate to and consistently provide professional, meaningful, spiritual care to patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds with respect and reverence toward individual values and beliefs.
• Ability to demonstrate professional pastoral qualities that earn the respect of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the clinical context.
• Establish constructive working relationships with all members of the healthcare team, including staff chaplains, and community clergy and caregivers.
• Full knowledge and understanding of whole person health principles and related spiritual needs.
• Proficient in spiritual care principles and assessment abilities.
• Displays a high skill level completing tasks and communicating effectively using Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare system charting and communications applications.
• Able to enter Pastoral Care visit information in healthcare system databases efficiently and correctly.
• Must be willing to fill a flexible schedule for on-call and other assignments.
• Debrief and crisis intervention skills.
• Enjoys collaboration and working as a team.
• Articulate an understanding of institutional culture, systems, and corporate relationships.
• Public speaking and communication skills for devotionals and other staff meetings.

Additional Information:
• PRN- Level 2 - Minimum of two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education completed, at a center accredited by ACPE, Inc. [Preferred]
• Clinical Pastoral Education Residency or completion of 3 or more units of ACPE, Inc. accredited CPE [Preferred]
• Congregational Pastoral leadership [Preferred]
• Licensure by an ecclesiastical body approved or recognized by a recognized religious conference [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) [Preferred]
• Ordained Minister (ORDM) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$26.29 - $48.91Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
