The Europe Financial Controlling Uplift project at KONE is a strategic initiative designed to enhance the efficiency, quality, and scalability of financial controlling operations across Europe. The project brings together process improvements, harmonized ways of working, and specialized expertise to support business growth and evolving finance requirements.
A key element of the initiative is the establishment of Centers of Excellence, which will drive best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across Europe Financial Controlling.
We’re now looking for a Tax Controller to join our Europe Financial Controlling Uplift Project
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly visible, Europe-wide transformation initiative and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
About the role
As a Tax Controller, you will be part of the Tax Compliance Center of Excellence (CoE), working closely with Finance teams, external partners, and Group Tax.
You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality and consistent tax reporting and compliance across legal entities, while contributing to the development of harmonized processes and strengthening tax-related controls.
Key responsibilities
Perform group tax reporting for selected legal entities on a quarterly basis
Collaborate with Finance teams and external partners on tax compliance matters (corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing)
Support VAT balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal policies
Review intercompany transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment
Collect and monitor withholding tax documentation for cross-border transactions
Support compliance activities related to DAC6 and Pillar II requirements
Assist in tax audit processes by providing data and responding to inquiries
Partner with shared services and finance stakeholders to resolve tax process issues and improve consistency
Provide tax compliance expertise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What we are looking for
In-depth experience in financial accounting and tax compliance
Solid understanding of IFRS, VAT, and corporate taxation principles
Experience in group tax reporting and transfer pricing is an advantage
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work in a structured way and manage multiple priorities
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach
Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
