 The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our Regency Park team. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the production of precision metal parts using equipment such as grinders, milling machines and lathes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

• Operating Large Manual Borer/Vertical Lathe.
• Plan machining by reading and interpreting drawings and plans.
• Maintain the required specifications and make adjustments as required.
• Monitor machine performance and complete preventive maintenance requirements.
• Schedule maintenance on machines if/when required.
• Ensure smooth handover between work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• Willingness to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Qualified Fitter & Machinist.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate Lathes / Mills / Vertical Borer.
• Experience machining medium to large components.
• Understanding of Safe Operating Procedures.
• Ability to work with or without supervision.
• Ability to problem solve.
• CNC Knowledge would be an advantage.
