Job Description
Contract Engineer - Air Systems / Pneumatics
Location: Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; United States (multiple locations)
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada OR the United States
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 5-15 years of aerospace engineering experience
- Experience with pneumatic systems engineering
- Knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamics
- Experience with pneumatic system architecture, specifications, requirements development, and trade studies
- Experience with requirements management, validation, and verification
- Experience managing suppliers from both technical and project perspectives
- Experience reviewing and approving engineering documentation, including:
- Vendor drawings
- Test procedures
- Acceptance test procedures
- Qualification reports
- Certification documents
- Experience documenting and analyzing ground and flight test results
- Experience preparing certification compliance reports
- Experience supporting test platforms, test rigs, and flight test vehicles
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience developing design changes and system improvements
- Experience supporting production and in-service troubleshooting activities
- Knowledge of component qualification standards:
- DO-160
- MIL-STD-810
- Familiarity with ARP4754A Design Process Assurance
- Knowledge of functional modeling and system performance testing
- Experience with Model Based Engineering and/or engineering simulation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel for short-term assignments
- French/English bilingualism preferred
