Position Overview
The Load Planner plays a critical role in keeping UniGroup’s transportation network running efficiently. In this role, you will plan and dispatch shipments, track orders from origin to delivery, and partner with various stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality service.
This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role where you’ll balance priorities like capacity, cost, and service to keep operations moving. If you enjoy thinking on your feet, solving logistical challenges, and working with a variety of partners, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do
Plan and dispatch shipments to maximize truck capacity and meet delivery timelines
Monitor shipments in transit and quickly resolve issues to keep service on track
Communicate with agents, drivers, customers, and carriers to coordinate and problem-solve
Negotiate with carriers and partners to support cost-effective transportation solutions
Track performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service and efficiency
Partner with internal teams to support smooth operations and strong customer outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in real time
Clear and effective communication skills across a variety of stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
