The Role:
Our site in Colorado Springs Rockrimmon, CO is seeking a Mold Technician to join our team. This role is a critical part of our tooling team that is responsible for building mold inserts and mold base configurations. This position will work the 1st shift at our Rockrimmon facility.
What You’ll Do:
Build tool insert configurations and set up mold bases
Tear down and clean molds and inserts
Print Reading and interpretation.
Utilize SAP for tracking, documentation, and workforce management
Must have Microsoft Office knowledge
Operates a variety of hand tools including calipers, air impact wrench, microscopes and others
Perform level 1 preventative maintenance (PM) of mold bases and inserts
Safely operate overhead crane and forklift for mold handling and setup
Follow the build schedule to meet production timelines and quality standards
Follow and understand the Bill of Materials for accurate assembly and configuration
Effective communication with cell team members and the main tool room support employees to ensure smooth operations
Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work
Create and maintain safe working environment.

What We Seek:
High school degree or equivalent required
Some related experience preferred
Basic knowledge of methods and practices
Understands policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
Ability to read, understand, and follow documented processes and procedures.
Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry
Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools and power tools
Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle small screws, washers, fasteners, etc.
Works well independently and with a group on collaborative projects; able to take direction and instruction

Compensation: $21-$24 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
