Baptist Health is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time Day shift opportunity.

The Emergency Department at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about emergency medicine, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Assistant Nurse Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as needed to support operations
• Monitor and improve clinical workflow and patient outcomes
• Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and departments
• Mentor staff and provide coaching and performance feedback
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and budget management
• Support employee relations and performance evaluations
• Promote a culture of collaboration and accountability

Assistant Nurse Manager Experience:

• 3–5 years Nursing Experience (required)
• Medical Surgical and Telemetry Experience (required)
• Leadership and Charge Nurse Experience (required)

Assistant Nurse Manager Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations
• Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care
• Is an expert clinical resource
• Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow
• Takes a lead role in implementing changes
• Supports and coaches staff development
• Makes shift to shift patient care assignments
• Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed.
