Your New Role…
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our finance Team, this role will be processing the payroll of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Process the company's payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Handle payroll timecards and verify hours worked, ensuring compliance with labor laws while noting any penalty costs and overtime.
- Prepare production payroll reports and adjust when necessary.
- Enter employee information, work hours, tax deductions, and other payroll-related data into the payroll system.
- Maintain well-organized and current payroll records.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to both management and relevant departments.
- Uphold and assess payroll policies to ensure the prompt and precise handling of payroll transactions, including wages, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure internal control, as well as compliance with payroll policies.
- Assist with audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identify and propose updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- +3 years of payroll experience preferred.
- Knowledge in payroll software.
- Knowledge of payroll processes required.
- Knowledge US Payroll regulations and tax laws preferred.
- An exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

- Process Union and Non‐Union timecards 50%
- Review and verify hours worked, deductions and pay adjustments 30%
- Assist with audits from other business units providing payroll records as needed 10%
- Keep informed about changes in applicable state laws and union rules related to payroll 5%
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned 5%
