What We Need:
The Accreditation Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating Oak Valley Health’s participation in Accreditation Canada’s accreditation program while ensuring continuous organizational readiness throughout the accreditation cycle. They will also be responsible for developing a strategy to support organization-wide accreditation readiness, ensuring staff are prepared every day and not only during formal accreditation cycles. Reporting to the Director, Quality, Patient Safety and Interprofessional Practice, this role serves as the organization’s subject matter expert on accreditation standards, Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), and accreditation processes.
The successful candidate will lead accreditation planning, monitoring, reporting, education, and evaluation activities across the organization while partnering with clinical and non-clinical leaders to support compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Oak Valley Health’s accreditation program, ensuring ongoing organizational readiness and compliance with Accreditation Canada standards.
- Partner with leaders and teams across the organization to support accreditation activities, Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety priorities.
- Coordinate accreditation assessments, tracers, mock surveys, onsite survey preparation, and follow-up action plans. Monitor accreditation progress, analyze performance data, and develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and committees.
- Provide education, guidance, and subject matter expertise on accreditation standards while fostering engagement and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
What you bring to the role:
- Diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Quality Improvement, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in healthcare, public service, or a non-profit environment.
- Experience supporting accreditation, quality improvement, project coordination, or organizational change initiatives.
- Knowledge of Accreditation Canada standards, Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), and accreditation processes is considered an asset.
- Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams while influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems.
- Project Management, Quality Improvement, and/or Accreditation Canada training or certification is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
