Job Description
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor for Sauer Brands, Inc., is responsible for the day-to-day management of shipping, receiving and warehouse team member development.
This includes:
Warehouse Optimization
Warehouse layout and flow are structured for maximum efficiency based on velocity.
All SQF/GMP requirements are met for storage of materials/finished goods.
SBI safety policies are met/enforced.
Customer Order Fulfillment
Implements best practices to achieve and maintain warehouse efficiency standards.
Removes barriers preventing perfect order fulfillment.
Inventory Control
Develops and implements systems to ensure accurate transaction/maintenance of inventory.
Transportation
Works closely with Transportation team to coordinate outbound/inbound loads to/from warehouses and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
Instrumental in maintaining outbound throughput through use of Dock Scheduler
Maintains local fleet of trucks/trailers including maintenance coordination and maintenance of all DOT required documentation
Warehousing and transportation activities as assigned
The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager who will oversee all warehouse operations for the Richmond, VA production site. Together they will work quickly to identify and mitigate constraints that risk impacting production operations and customer order fulfillment. This role will execute special projects and initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, and support both factory operations and customer fill rate. Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building of the Sauer Brands Purpose and Values.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise warehouse operations for the Richmond, VA production site
Optimize warehouse operations to support manufacturing and business goals
Drive effective warehouse practices
Identify cost savings opportunities
Actively seek out opportunities to reduce costs/maximize efficiencies through operational improvement identification
Demonstrate excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Identify waste and seek opportunities for cost reduction
Work cross-functionally with the Production Team, Transportation, Inventory Control, and other Supply Chain/Operations staff
Proactively work across departments to eliminate barriers and reduce impact to customers
Leadership
Lead staff with a servant leader perspective
Lead staff, continuing the current cultivation of a “continuously productive operation”
Manage and control inventory
Optimize inventory following lean manufacturing principles
Drive warehouse inventory consistent with established KPIs
Participate in physical inventory events (generally year-end)
Support SBI cycle counting initiatives

Represent the company positively through supplier relations
Promotes safety as a condition
Support the Warehouse Manager and Sauer Brands Business as necessary with any special projects or necessary research
Skills Requirement:
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work and thrive undertime constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibility
Strong warehouse management acumen
Highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible
Strong problem-solving skills
Education and Experience Requirement:
· College Degree Required (Business/Supply Chain preferred)
2+ Years of experience in Warehousing preferred
Proven management and/or supervisory experience
Experience with ERP System(s), Oracle (Peoplesoft) preferred
Experience with TMS/WMS systems
Performance History Requirement:
Documented history of making improvements in assigned work area/responsibilities
