Role: Systems Engineers – High Frequency Sensing | Defence

Provide engineering design and assurance and maintain Systems Engineering practices supporting a world-leading military capability.

Role Description:
Amentum is seeking interest in upcoming Systems Engineering opportunities within Defence capability export programs dealing with foreign government. We’re seeking experienced NV1 cleared Systems Engineers to provide support to these high frequency sensing capability export activities. Working with Systems Engineering leads, you will provide engineering support, design assurance, integration and T&E.

Tasks

  • Influence high frequency radar specialty engineering practices
  • Develop, review, negotiate export artifacts and associated technical specifications and capability lifecycle documents
  • Provide input to the technical architecture and design of export artifacts
  • Support high frequency radar specialty and V&V programs to satisfy contractual obligations of high frequency radar systems designs and functional performance requirements
  • Collaborate with high frequency radar engineering contractors and other critical stakeholders
  • Identify risk mitigation and advise on design reviews and technical program planning
  • Support development and maintenance of test plans and procedures

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent suitable to qualify for membership of Engineers Australia
  • Experience in high frequency radar or radio systems
  • Demonstrated expert understanding of engineering methods, design and
  • development
  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering and developing complex hardware intensive systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail 
  • Australian citizenship & an NV1 clearance as a minimum
