Bus Attendants

Hours Per Day:  Varies
Work Year is 10 Months:  Off during school breaks.
Minimum Starting Rate:  $16.00 per hour. (Rate effective 12/17/25 is $16.50.)

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• The ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
• The ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
• Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff and families.
• The ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
• The ability to work well with drivers, students, school personnel, and the Transportation Department.
• The ability to understand students in their care.
• The ability to be helpful to students and fellow workers as needed.
• Have good judgment.
• Be dependable.
• Have common sense in exercising control.
• Have patience and conscientiousness.
• Have the physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Training will be provided.
