Responsibilities

 

A trained and skilled employee who performs surgical charges and clerical support for the OR. The responsibilities include: Monitoring and updating surgical inventory costs and billing, entering patient charges for OR, SDS and PACU, Updating MD preference cards, Ordering supplies, and scheduling OR cases.  Functions under the general supervision of the Clinical Director of Perioperative Services or designee.

Compensation for the role is $22.20-$22.87  hourly. 

 

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.  When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)


Qualifications

Minimum Education:  High School diploma or high school equivalency diploma; some college or secretarial experience preferred.

 

Minimum Experience: Knowledge of instrumentation and equipment used in OR procedures preferred. Medical billing, standard ordering/receiving transactions, distribution systems relating to movement of material and people preferred.  Computer skills and ability to utilize photocopier/fax machine.
