Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for implementing, coordinating and improving Quality system with providing technical support. And this position needs to handle daily current quality issue included in identifying root causes and establish corrective actions and to act customer quality window to communicate with customer for quality issues solving. Additionally, it’s necessary to support introducing new production line/plant from the aspect of Quality.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Should be quick in responding to quality problems and establish priorities with organizing formal/informal problem-solving in areas of quality, scrap, warranty and so on.
  • Should be a key support to the Quality Manager and Supervisor, in handling customer quality problems and quick and accurate communication with Customer.
  • Act as an effective customer quality window, with quality mind. Protecting the interests of the Company and also gaining the trust of the customer.
  • Handle the production line problem to investigate Jigs or Fixtures and make ideas to solve the quality problems speedily.
  • Take a lead for receiving inspection to analyze inspection data and find out abnormalities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, and PPM sustainability and proper culture with the plant.
  • Negotiate with other departments to quickly solve any quality problem.
  • Provide guidance and support to the CA plants through APQP, PPAP and all launch activity through SOP.
  • Interface with New Product Introduction team including design, process engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and customer to resolve and prevents issues on new product/process launches.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University or degree in Mechanical engineering field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in plant QC or QA – Online Quality problem handling experience.
  • ISO 9001/IATF16949 application to a facility and/or process.
  • Skills/experience in quality audit and statistical methodology.
  • Knowledge of Gauge designs / Gauge functions.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Knowledge of design/technical specification.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel / Word / Power Point)
  • Excellent communication skill in Japanese, English is added advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
