
Business Intelligence Data Analyst (Remote)
Job Description
The Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst is a key player in driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role goes beyond data retrieval and analysis, transforming data into actionable insights that provide management with real-time information for operational and financial management decisions.
Essential Functions:
- Leads the development of business intelligence solutions for the organization, including but not limited to Prism Analytics (a Workday product).
- Oversees daily extraction, transfer, and load process to ensure data sets are completely pushed from source systems to business intelligence solution (i.e. Prism Analytics).
- Designs and creates reports and queries for all functional areas of the organization using various systems, including but not limited to Workday and Cerner.
- Develops visualization dashboards to display data in a user-friendly format.
- Collaborates with end users to validate all reports and dashboards created to ensure data is accurate and complete.
- Creates, maintains, and oversees documentation that includes the design, requirements, and user manuals for the organization.
- Ensures reports are maintained and any new or additional data requirements are promptly added.
- Facilitates collaboration with end users for purpose of collecting data and executing the company’s mission.
- Seeks out and participates in educational and learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of systems used by the company to better support end users.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, information science or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in business analytics preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in business intelligence or analytics required.
- Two (2) years of healthcare experience required.
- Two (2) years experience with Workday required.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred.

- The ability to work both as a team and independently.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements
- A significant amount of sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 10 lbs.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
