Job Summary: The Lactation Consultant is responsible for assisting the Patient Care Director in the overall operation of the Lactation Program. The IBCLC will assist mothers and babies with complex breastfeeding situations. Department: Nursing Location: Englewood, NJ Status: Per diem Shift: Variable Hours: Variable Job Essentials: 1 year hospital clinical experience with breastfeeding required. Ability to participate in hospital/nursing committees. Utilizes standards and evidence based practice guidelines in clinical and educational decision making. Displays cultural sensitivity related to the breastfeeding experience. Capable of working collaboratively with peers, physicians, managers and patients. Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written. Education Requirements: RN required. BSN preferred. License/Certification/Registry: Valid RN Licensure. IBCLC Certification required. Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off. Minimum Rate: $50/hr
