Operations Supervisor

Woodward is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing complete control systems and kits for military, marine, and industrial applications. This position plays a key role in supporting the production of mission critical control systems, including systems supplied to the U.S. Navy.

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily department activities, ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule, and provide leadership to team members in a highly regulated production environment. This role is responsible for driving performance, maintaining quality standards, supporting continuous improvement, and helping ensure that all products meet strict customer and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in reading system level electrical schematics and control panel manufacturing. They must also have the ability to manage a fast-paced team focused on precision, accountability, and reliability.

Estimated annual base pay: $85,000-$120,000

  • Strategic Development: Contributes to the formulation and execution of mechanical engineering strategies, aligning technical solutions with business goals and industry trends.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves unique, high impact engineering challenges by developing innovative and effective solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Leads and manages high risk, complex mechanical engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicates sophisticated technical concepts to senior leadership and external partners, influencing decision making and resource allocation.
