
Electrical Engineer, Last Mile Delivery & Technology
Job Description
Key job responsibilities
• Lead electrical design and optimization for modules, assemblies, and sub-systems — including design considerations for system integration, manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost
• Develop electrical schematics and provide oversight for component placement and layout activities of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) — including component selection, signal and power integrity review, and functional circuit simulation
• Develop, execute, and automate electrical test plans — including bring up, verification, validation, and interoperability
• Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle — including design modifications, factory test coverage, and firmware behaviors
• Partner across engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to document, analyze, and prioritize functional specifications while balancing technical feasibility against business objectives
• Manage relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partners
Last Mile Delivery & Technology is responsible for envisioning and developing forward-looking initiatives to improve the efficiency, speed, quality, and safety of the delivery experience for customers
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in PCBA-level circuit design for consumer, industrial, or automotive electronics
- Experience with electrical design verification, electronics test equipment (e.g., power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, electronic load), and rework tools (e.g., soldering iron, reflow oven)
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, or similar)
- Familiarity with complex embedded electronics architectures and interconnections — including SoCs, MCUs, DRAM, storage, digital communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, SPI), and high-speed routing
- Experience with power architecture design, power supply design (e.g., LDOs, switching regulators), and power distribution networks
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience with programming languages for embedded device control and test automation (e.g., Python, Bash, LabVIEW, C/C++, MATLAB)
- Experience with design verification and protocol compliance for high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI CSI)
- Experience with RF measurement techniques and knowledge of wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular)
- Experience with cabling and wire harness design
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and automotive electrical standards

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
