Get to Know Your Team: 

  • Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity and women’s services, ICU and cardiology services in the advanced cardiac catheterization lab.

A Day in the Life of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

  • Assists department director and Chief Radiologist in the supervision of staff nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Recommends organization and scheduling of staff, equipment maintenance, and required supply levels to provide
  • patient services within the rules, laws and regulations of local and state agencies.
  • Prepares patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information.
  • Operates radioscopic equipment to produce scanograms and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas.
  • Also provides support documentation for all procedures performed.
  • Assist with orientation of new employee.
  • Assists department PI program.

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible.
    • If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care #LI-TH
