Job Summary:

Perform routine biological sample preparation to support downstream analysis, including preparing solutions and reagents and troubleshooting routine experiments. Document work in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Execute routine techniques to prepare biological samples for subsequent analysis
  • Perform routine sample preparation activities such as extractions from biological matrices, tissue preparation, and purification
  • Perform and document testing in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Make and record observations, perform calculations, and collect and prepare data for evaluation
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel
  • Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment, inventory, and lab housekeeping consistent with 6S standards
  • Communicate clearly and timely with cross-functional stakeholders and document project work per IQVIA Laboratories processes

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences discipline required or High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with pipetting techniques and routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens
  • Experience with extractions from biological matrices, tissue preparation, purification, and/or automated instrumentation
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards within area of responsibility, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to support training and onboarding of junior staff and work within a LIMS-enabled workflow environment

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
