Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Support the response development process, which includes following a project plan. Engaging stakeholders, evaluate and assign responsibilities based on areas of expertise, strategize with stakeholders to produce a customer specific response, conduct review sessions by clarifying expectations and upholding accountability, and manage final production and submission.

  • Works directly with sales associates and executive leaders to create customer centric proposal responses.

  • Promotes the proposal engagement strategy and communicates the message to stakeholders.

  • Qualifies proposal and addendum documents. If needed, will provide additional vetting to determine validity of request.

  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with identified stakeholders, through the proposal lifecycle, to ensure content accuracy.

  • Supports the execution and tracking of proposals to ensure milestones are met and issues are addressed which includes proactively identifying any potential risk(s).

  • Works collaboratively with the Business Development department to ensure new requirements are identified and documented.

  • Evaluate all marketing collateral needs to create a cohesive message that supports the Cencora message and brand.

  • Contributes to the accuracy of proposal database content in Ombud by updating and/or maintaining pertinent business information as changes are uncovered.

  • Actively supports and contributes to the Proposal Management Center goals and objectives.

  • Updates all Business Development department’s resources (shared drive, Salesforce, and the Microsoft Teams tracker) as new information is received.

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement that will assist the Proposal Management Center in achieving efficiency gains.

  • Assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the department at any given time.

  • Maintains and promotes positive and professional working relationships with associates and management.

  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations.

  • Performs related tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Partners with Business Development Project Manager to develop best practices, process improvements, and team strategy.

  • Ensures that other Specialists are sufficiently fulfilling their responsibilities ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.

  • Ensures that Specialists are addressing incoming feedback and requests in a timely manner. Resolves gaps and/or escalates gaps to higher management as necessary to ensure assignments are balanced and goals are achievable.

  • Communicates with stakeholders on a periodic basis to obtain their feedback about the Specialist’s quality of delivery and performance.

  • Provides guidance and coaching to other members of the Proposal Management Center.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience.

  • Previous experience in RFP response development is preferred.

  • Broad experience in business administration, sales, marketing, or similar functions.

  • Experience working with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) operations.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively allocate resources and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.

  • Excellent business writing and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems, company software applications, and business tools.

  • Understanding of project management principles and cross-functional business processes.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required (less than 10%).
