About the Role:

As a Dentist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral health issues to improve patients' overall well-being and confidence. You will provide comprehensive dental care, including performing dental surgeries, restorative procedures, and cosmetic treatments tailored to individual patient needs. Your expertise will be essential in managing both routine and complex dental cases, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures. You will also educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote long-term dental health. Collaborating with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a supportive and efficient clinical environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid or ability to obtain Missouri dental license to practice dentistry
  • Completion of required clinical internships or residencies.
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, pathology, and treatment protocols.
  • Proficiency in using dental instruments, technology, and software for patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced training or certification in cosmetic dentistry or oral surgery.
  • Familiarity with prosthodontics and complex restorative procedures.
  • Continuing education in the latest dental technologies and treatment methodologies.
  • Membership in professional dental associations such as the American Dental Association (ADA).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral diseases and conditions.
  • Perform dental surgeries, including extractions, root canals, and implant placements.
  • Administer restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with dental team members to optimize patient care and clinic operations.

Skills:

The required skills such as dental surgery, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and oral surgery are applied daily to diagnose and treat a wide range of dental conditions effectively. Pediatric dentistry skills ensure that young patients receive specialized care tailored to their developmental needs, fostering a positive dental experience. Prosthodontics expertise allows for the design and fitting of dental prostheses, restoring function and aesthetics for patients with missing teeth. Teeth whitening and cosmetic dentistry skills enhance patients' smiles, boosting their confidence and satisfaction. Overall, these skills combined with strong dental care knowledge enable the dentist to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans that promote oral health and well-being.
