HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery team in O'Fallon, IL. This APP will work alongside our orthopedic surgeons and will go with them to the OR as their primary first assist. This APP will also work in the outpatient clinic and assist with inpatient rounds at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Any APRNs applying for the position must also have an RNFA certification.

Position Details:
- Monday - Friday weekly schedule with an option of a 4 day work week
- Weekly schedule will be a mix of OR time and clinic time
- Monthly rotation for inpatient rounding and after-hours call coverage
*Please note, after-hours call coverage is phone call only and has no obligation to come onsite after hours if a call is received.
- EPIC EMR in both the inpatient and outpatient setting

Position Requirements:
- Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start
- Board Certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant
*Please note, any APRN considered for the position must have their RNFA certification.
- Experience in orthopedic surgery or another surgical field is preferred, but experience in other specialties will be considered.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
Base Salary: $144,307 with bonus earning potential
Sign-On Bonus
CME Benefits Provided Annually
Fully comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as retirement benefits.

Education Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of practice is required.
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Physician Assistant Certification is required.
  • DEA license is preferred.
